About the Author

Love After a Stroke is Megan Nosol's first children's book, but she also co-authored an educational book for English teachers called America’s Unseen Kids. She is currently working on a number of other book projects. As a mother and speech-language pathologist, she wrote this book with her own children in mind; although she does not have any family members who have aphasia, Megan often thinks about how she would explain this complicated communication disorder to her curious, young sons.

Megan's hope for Love After a Stroke is to provide comfort to children and their families as they learn to navigate through stroke and aphasia. She also encourages people with aphasia to write their own stories of stroke and aphasia for their loved ones. Relationships with children and family are too important to let communication problems get in the way.

The Illustrator, Robert M. Henry

Love After a Stroke was illustrated by the talented, Robert M. Henry. His art has allowed this book to come to fruition, and Megan is forever grateful to him for his time, effort, and patience. Plus, he is the nicest Duke fan she knows. For more information about Mr. Henry's colorful illustrations, please visit his website.
